Rotary Club of Sugarloaf members

Congratulations to our new Rotary President, King Jody Campbell.

Our club sailed into the sunset as we celebrated another successful Rotary year.

We participate in numerous service projects throughout the year.

In the 21-22 Rotary year, three new active members were inducted, and 6 members were recognized as honorary members of our club.

Our club was recognized with Gold distinction at the District Conference. We enjoyed a weekend of fellowship with our Rotary friends.

Our club is the best at Rotary Fellowship. We provide many social and networking opportunities for our members.

Here's a few highlights from our weekly gatherings...

Our Rotarians took a tour of the Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett and got to see the SMART board we donated with the help of a matching grant from Rotary District 6910.

Rotary readers volunteered at Stripling Elementary for Read Across America week! Our club also donated $500 in book donations to the school.

We packed over 1,400 weekend bags for students in 45 elementary and middle schools around the county. These students have been identified by their school counselors as being food insecure and in need of additional food for the weekend.

Our members were asked to submit a photo of them with their spouse around the time that they first met for a special Valentine's Program.

Our Rotary members and their families always enjoy spreading a little Christmas Cheer to the residents at Annandale Village as we provide lunch, fun, fellowship and gifts.

Festive doesn't even begin to describe the Rotary Club of Sugarloaf celebrations at Christmas...

It's tradition for our club to ring the Salvation Army Kettle Bell for a weekend in December.

Our club partnered with Eddie Owen Presents / Red Clay Music Foundry for a private concert with Shawn Mullins. In appreciation for their generosity, we made a $2,500 donation to the Clark Howard Christmas Kids Foundation in their honor.

Members enjoyed a tour, tasting and entertainment by our own, Honey & Oates (aka Kristina Blum & Stephen Pereira).

In 2021, Michael Berg was the district Governor and his theme for district conference was Go Green (hence the green attire...and KERMIT). Michael was a founding member of our club in 1982 before moving to the Dawson County club. Our club's Go Green service project was an electronics drive through New Life Technology Group. These electronics are refurbished and donated to school children. We also made a charitable donation to the organization in honor of our district governor, Michael Berg.

Thanks to all who supported the Gwinnett Duck Derby this year! Net proceeds of $35,000 were distributed to charities throughout the Rotary year.

Members were able to board a trolley and visit local Korean restaurants and sample the cuisine.

Our members were asked to submit a photo of themselves during their grade school years for a special Back 2 School program.
